The AWA is a non-profit organization. We do not receive any government funding and are supported strictly by donations, fund-raising events and membership dues. We have no paid employees and operate with the support of volunteers. Therefore, we rely upon the generosity of our community to help eliminate the suffering of unwanted cats and dogs.

Assisting with Fund-Raising ProjectsAnyone interested in volunteering time toward a fund raising event may contact us at 704-487-6555. Fund raisers are scheduled throughout the year up through the month of September. Each will be posted on the website in time for you to read about it and decide if it is something with which you would like to help. Although each is a time consuming endeavor, some are much more time consuming during their organization than during the fund raiser itself. Any help is greatly appreciated, and again, if you would like to help, please direct your contribution of time as well as your questions to us at 704-487-6555.
